In the battle of Geordie vs. Geordie, cheeky chaps Ant and Dec have fallen from favour with the locals.

A new study by OM Property Management has found despite the duo scooping the Entertainment and Presenter award at the National Television Awards for the 11^th year in a row, “nation’s sweetheart” Cheryl Cole is the celebrity most people in the North East would like to live next to.

Glamorous chef Nigella Lawson and Take That heartthrob and X-Factor judge Gary Barlow were close behind the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here presenters.

Prime Minister David Cameron and reality TV star Katie Price were the two least favoured celebrities (1%).
